Renovation of Constitution Center began July 2, 2007, just two days after the U.S. Department of Transportation finished relocating to its new headquarters. The renovation is well underway, with mechanical systems already in place in the new equipment penthouse and a major portion of the new curtainwall enclosing the structure.
